Extensive asset finance experience with a particular focus on aircraft leasing, acting for arrangers, lenders and investors on a range of cross border financings, tax driven structures, European ECA backed financings and operating lease transactions.

Acted for PricewaterhouseCoopers as receivers in relation to certain aspects of the Bridgecorp receivership.

Acted for Fonterra in relation to certain finance lease transactions.
Acted for Westpac in relation to certain aircraft financing transactions.
Acted for various arrangers, lenders and equity participants in relation to multiple Japanese operating lease transactions of wide body aircraft, a number of which involved Export Credit Agency support.
Acted for Citibank in relation to bridge financings required in anticipation of US EximBank supported funding for new aircraft deliveries into Taiwan and Korea.
Acted for the purchaser (operating lessors) in relation to three separate multi-aircraft sale and purchase agreements (both new and second hand aircraft) in each case with a novated operating lease component.
Acted for Bank of America as arranger in relation to a US leveraged lease of various rail network assets owned by KCRC (Hong Kong’s major rail network).
Acted for Contact Energy as lessee in relation to the sale and leaseback (German leveraged lease) of certain power generation assets comprising the Otahuhu B combined cycle power plant.
Acted for TransAlta as lessee in relation to the sale and leaseback (German leveraged lease) of certain power generation assets comprising the Taranaki (Stratford) combined cycle power plant.
Securitisation
Acted for Trustees Executors Limited as trustee in relation to the establishment of a securitisation programme for Foundation Mortgage Securities Limited.
Acted for Pacific Retail Services as originator in relation to the establishment of a new securitisation programme with Aurora (ANZ) relating to retail finance receivables (such programme replacing the existing programme that PRS had with Waratah (Westpac)).
Acted for Gough Gough & Hamer as originator in relation to the securitisation of various equipment rental streams and other receivables.

Acted for Telecom, ANZ, ASB, SCB, Deutsche Bank and Telecom on various structured finance transactions.
Capital Markets
Acted for Rural Portfolio Capital Limited as issuer in relation to its offer of redeemable preference shares to New Zealand retail investors.
Acted for Pacific Print Group as issuer in relation to its offer of capital notes to New Zealand retail investors.
Acted for Telecom as issuer in relation to its offer of bonds to New Zealand retail investors (Telebonds).
